In the beginning.........the KWAN family.
the KWAN family in Singapore originated from Shuntak in Guangdong province, China. Kwan Siew Fong together with his elder brother Siew Chai came to Singapore in the 1920s to seek their fortunes. they lived in the Chinatown area and eventually became glass merchants in the Tanjong Pagar area dealing with mirrors, glass frames and windows. the building for this business at 104 Tg Pagar rd is still there and is used as an office. the old winding Tg Pagar rd has undegone quite a transformation with lots of new restaurants, shops and offices.

Cruise to Alaska and Rockies Tour
I cruised to Alaska for a week with my wife, Celeste, daughter Shu Ying and 5 of Celeste's family from Singapore this August. We visited Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan in Alaska, and saw the Hubbard Glacier. We then took a 4 day trip to the Rockies. Enjoy the pictures!
All of us at Porteau Cove.
Welcome to Juneau!
